Element Recruitment is pleased to be supporting a growing SME who are looking for an Accounts Assistant to join their growing team.

About the Role

We’re recruiting for a dependable and detail-focused Accounts Assistant to join a well-established business with a friendly and supportive finance function. This role is ideal for someone who values stability and enjoys transactional finance work without the pressure of progression or professional study.

You’ll be supporting with day-to-day finance tasks and working closely with experienced finance professionals in a collaborative, down-to-earth environment. This is a great opportunity for someone looking to settle into a long-term, consistent role with a good work-life balance.

Key Responsibilities

  • Process supplier invoices and assist with payment runs
  • Reconcile bank statements
  • Manage the purchase ledger inbox
  • Support basic month-end tasks
  • Perform general finance admin and data entry
  • Provide ad hoc support to senior finance staff as needed

Who This Role Would Suit

We’re open to different types of experience – you might be:

  • Someone with 1-2 years of finance or admin experience, looking for a steady junior role
  • Or someone more experienced, perhaps returning to work or seeking part-time hours

We’re looking for someone who:

  • Has a stable employment background – no frequent job changes
  • Has basic finance/admin experience (e.g. invoice processing, reconciliations)
  • Is not looking to study AAT/ACCA/CIMA or move into a more senior finance role
  • Is confident using finance systems and Excel
  • Is reliable, accurate, and enjoys working in a small, supportive team
