Job Description
A fantastic opportunity has become available for a skilled Mechanical Fitter/Engineer to join a dynamic maintenance team working on a range of heavy machinery and plant equipment. This is a hands-on role ideally suited to someone with solid mechanical experience and a proactive approach to problem-solving.

- Salary: £24.00p/h
- Working Hours: Full time
- Location: East Sussex
Key Responsibilities:
- Carry out mechanical maintenance and repair on a range of mobile and fixed plant equipment
- Inspect, troubleshoot, and resolve issues across hydraulic systems and material handling machinery
- Follow established safety procedures and site processes to ensure safe and efficient work
- Maintain records of maintenance activity and ensure all work is completed to a high standard
- Work independently or as part of a team to support daily operations and reduce downtime
Skills, Experience, and Training Requirements:
- Proven experience in mechanical fitting or engineering roles
- Familiarity with heavy mobile plant and material handling systems
- Hands-on experience with hydraulic systems
- Ability to follow processes while taking initiative and demonstrating a proactive mindset
- Willingness to work across a variety of older and modern machinery
- Strong work ethic and commitment to safety
