Job Description
We are looking for an experienced and detail-driven Payroll Lead to take ownership of our growing payroll function. This is a hands-on role, ideal for someone who thrives on accuracy, enjoys working with a diverse client base, and wants to be part of a firm that embraces innovation, supports development, and values collaboration.
The Role
As Payroll Lead, you will be responsible for the end-to-end processing of approximately 100 client payrolls. You will ensure payrolls are processed accurately and on time, while delivering a consistently high level of service.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Managing the full payroll cycle from start to finish
- Preparing and reviewing payroll reports
- Administering and managing workplace pensions
- Acting as the main point of contact for payroll clients, handling queries professionally and efficiently
- Working closely with a knowledgeable team to share best practice and contribute to continuous improvement
This is a key role within the business, offering real ownership and the opportunity to shape and enhance our payroll processes.
About You
We’re looking for someone who:
- Has strong payroll experience, ideally at Payroll Manager or senior payroll level
- Possesses excellent attention to detail and a thorough understanding of payroll processes
- Is confident managing multiple client payrolls simultaneously
- Works well under pressure and consistently meets deadlines
- Brings a positive, collaborative attitude
- Is motivated to learn, develop, and grow with the firm
