Staffordshire (hybrid working available after probation)
£26,230 basic + uncapped commission

A well-established and award-winning financial services company are currently recruiting for a Customer Support Specialist to join their small operation in Staffordshire. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment and enjoys helping customers find practical solutions.

The position requires a professional, empathetic approach combined with the confidence to manage challenging conversations. This is a challenging but rewarding position where no two conversations are the same.

Purpose of the Job

The Customer Support role will be a focal point of contact for both inbound and outbound customer enquiries. Working as part of a dedicated and passionate team, you’ll share best practices and collaborate with each other to develop yourself as a problem solver and confidant to customers discussing sensitive issues.

Key Responsibilities

  • Handle a range of inbound and outbound phone calls
  • Expertly navigate conversations surrounding individual’s personal finances and sensitive personal situations
  • Build rapport, show empathy and tailor conversations to each individual
  • Aim for first-call resolution and work towards individual and team targets

Desired Skills and Experience

  • A confident communicator with an approachable and adaptable manner
  • Approaches every interaction with empathy and without judgement, understanding that each customer’s situation is unique.
  • A minimum of 12 months call centre experience
  • IT literate with confidence using IT systems
  • Resilient, assertive and professional in manner
