Assistant Site Manager – Landscaping Industry
6-Month Temporary Contract (with potential to become permanent)
We are currently working on behalf of a fast-growing landscaping business based in Stoke-on-Trent, who are seeking an Assistant Site Manager to join their team on a 6-month temporary contract, with the strong possibility of becoming a permanent position for the right candidate.
The role will be based on a project in Burnley, with lodging away required during the working week, offering a great opportunity to be part of a dedicated site team delivering high-quality landscaping works.
This position is ideal for a hands-on Supervisor ready to step up, or an experienced Site Manager looking for a new challenge on a live project with long-term potential.
The Role
As Assistant Site Manager, you will support the successful delivery of landscaping projects from start to finish.
Working closely with senior management, you will:
- Oversee day-to-day site operations
- Coordinate and support site teams on delivery
- Ensure work is completed safely, efficiently, and to a high standard
- Liaise professionally with clients and site stakeholders
- Assist with problem-solving and on-site decision making
- Maintain clear communication and accurate site documentation
You will play a key role in ensuring smooth project delivery throughout the contract, with the opportunity to transition into a permanent role.
About You
- Experience in landscaping or groundworks (essential or highly preferred)
- Background as a Supervisor ready to progress or an existing Site Manager
- Strong organisational and leadership skills
- Proactive, hands-on approach to site management
- Confident communication and IT skills
- Ability to lead and motivate site teams
- Strong attention to detail and pride in quality workmanship
