Job Description
We are recruiting on behalf of a leading organisation for a Fleet Operational Support Driver to join their team on a temporary to permanent basis. This is a hands-on role combining driving panel vans (up to 3.5T) with fleet administration and coordination, ensuring vehicles are compliant, well-maintained, and ready to support operational teams across the UK.
The Role:
You’ll support fleet operations by keeping mobile workshops and vans running smoothly, helping technicians avoid delays caused by vehicle or logistical issues.
Key Responsibilities:
Drive company vehicles throughout the UK as required
Carry out routine vehicle checks (safety, cleanliness, tyres, fluids)
Coordinate servicing, MOTs, repairs, and maintenance
Liaise with garages, suppliers, insurers, and internal teams
Maintain accurate vehicle records (insurance, MOT, servicing, mileage)
Update fleet management systems and track availability
Support logistics planning and vehicle allocation
Assist with procurement, invoices, and purchase orders
Ensure fleet compliance with legal and regulatory requirements
What We’re Looking For:
Essential:
Full, clean UK driving licence
Strong organisational and administrative skills
Good IT literacy (MS Office, especially Excel)
Confident communicator with a proactive mindset
Ability to prioritise and adapt in a fast-paced environment
Desirable:
Experience in fleet operations, logistics, or similar roles
Knowledge of vehicle compliance (MOT, tax, insurance)
Basic mechanical understanding
Experience using fleet management systems
