Powder Coater, Lanarkshire, £28,832 per annum, Immediate Start

Responsibilities

  • Load and unload metal components onto and from production trolleys
  • Operate and load the pre-treatment washing system
  • Prepare items for coating by correctly hanging materials on jigs
  • Apply powder coating to aluminium components to required specifications
  • Operate the box oven, including loading and unloading finished items
  • Apply protective coverings or tape to completed products
  • Inspect finished parts to ensure they meet quality standards
  • Provide support across other production areas as required
  • Maintain a clean, organised and safe working environment in line with 5S standards
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives under the company’s Business Operating System (BOS), including standard work practices, 5S and Kaizen principles

Requirements

  • Previous experience in powder coating within a fast-paced manufacturing or production environment
  • Strong understanding of health and safety practices, including manual handling
  • High attention to detail and commitment to producing quality work
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
  • Good communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Positive, reliable and proactive attitude
  • Comfortable working in a busy, target-driven environment
  • Self-motivated, flexible and committed to maintaining high standards
