Job Description

Salary: Up to £35,190 per annum
Location: Near Ascot
Contract: Full time, working 5 days out of 7, 40 hours a week

The Opportunity

Our client is an iconic, world-class sporting venue situated in Berkshire, frequently ranked among the top 100 in the world. Following the hosting of major international championships, they are looking for a talented Chef de Partie to join their prestigious culinary team.

This role is a rare find in the hospitality industry, offering a genuine commitment to work-life balance. You will benefit from straight shifts and minimal evening work, allowing for a consistent lifestyle outside of the kitchen.

Key Responsibilities

Section Management: Take responsibility for a designated section, preparing and executing dishes using fresh, high-quality, and local ingredients.

Service Standards: Maintain the exceptional culinary standards required by a world-class private members’ venue.

Seasonal Adaptability: Manage a varied workload, with hours balanced across the year (45 hours during the peak season of April–September; 35 hours during October–March).

Team Collaboration: Work closely with the senior chef team to ensure a seamless service for both daily dining and high-profile club events.

What Our Client Is Looking For

Experience: Proven track record as a Chef de Partie (or an ambitious Commis ready to step up) in a professional kitchen focused on fresh food.

Passion for Produce: A genuine interest in working with high-quality, seasonal, and locally sourced ingredients.

Reliability: A team player who thrives in a high-standard environment and takes pride in their craft.

Commitment: A chef looking for a long-term home in a “Platinum Standard” accredited workplace.

What’s On Offer

Leading Work-Life Balance: Straight shifts with minimal evening work (only a handful of dinners per year).

Attractive Package: Competitive salary plus an Annual Staff Fund payment, bringing potential earnings to £37,220.

Financial Security: 4x annual salary life assurance and an employer pension contribution that increases with service.

Professional Growth: Fantastic training and development, including the opportunity to gain formal catering qualifications via HIT Training.

Sporting Privileges: Staff golf privileges, free lessons for beginners, and access to world-class facilities.

Daily Perks: Complimentary meals on duty, uniform provided, and free on-site parking.

Wellness & Support: Access to a benefits portal including Retail Discounts, Cycle to Work, and an On-Demand GP service.
